De Heide Primary School is a dual-medium multi-cultural school for learners from Grade 1 to Grade 7, in Bredasdorp. At De Heide Primary School, dedicated teachers proudly work together to encourage students to achieve their personal best in the classroom and on the sports field. While striving for academic excellence, the school’s faculty motivates and empowers learners to be leaders, critical thinkers, innovators and productive members of a global society. De Heide Primary School forms part of the National Schools Nutrition Programme and provides daily breakfast and lunch for many of its students. The school is actively involved in uplifting its community and offers knowledge and guidance whenever possible.

De Heide Primary School was established on the 1st of January 1988 after the amalgamation of Medland and Wishof primary schools.

• Fruit and Milk Supplement - two to three times a weekDe Heide Primary School falls into the Qunitle 3 Category of No Fee Schools and forms part of the National Schools Nutrition Programme. The state provides the school with the finances to pay for six trained cooks who prepare daily meals in a registered kitchen for over 1,000 learners who are on the programme.
